This most popular of the operating system platform programs was originally written in the 1990′s by a guy named  Nick Koston as a special hosting program by a company called Speed Hosting. It has undergone quite a few upgrades to what it is, now. It has really been put to the test by so many website builders and owners and passed all of those tests with flying colors.

After you have signed on with the hosting company, you go to the cPanel hosting home page and this is where the magic can begin. You have access to all of the programs and scripts that your particular hosting company has included in the cPanel platform. That could be several 100, or as few as 60 -70!

The home page is divided into 6 – 12 different sections that will help you to: control all email accounts, manage all files and pages that you have on that server(s), allow for the set up of the security measures and all password control pages.
